Tighten studs

5.0 out of 5.0 by Jrog267 on November 9, 2018
I wasn't sure about these pedals after I read the reviews people saying that they fell apart only after a few rides but I received the pedals and I really like these pedals they are wide strong but before installing I recommend to take a little tool that comes in the bag and tight down all the pedal studs I found about seven of them that needed Tighten. The Allen key where the pedal screws in was a nice touch I just took it around the block and it feels like my bicycle has more torque and Power a lot better than the plastic pedals that come with your bike I will update after a while
Work great, look great and extremely durable so far

I ride in a very technical area with lots of rocks, roots, stumps, climbs, creek beds and other obstacles that are always "reaching out" to break things like pedals. I've had these pedals for a few weeks and, given the price, was worried about their durability. I've bashed them several times while riding, often downhill at speed or while jumping, climbing hard or making a hairpin turn, and so far I have not managed to dent or bend these pedals. Needless to say, I'm pleasantly surprised by their durability!Performance-wise, I can't tell a difference between these and other high quality pedals I've owned. I went with black & silver pedals to match my bike, and so far I haven't seen any wear and tear on the paint.All-around, I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase so far.
Great Pedals

5.0 out of 5.0 by Andy on June 30, 2018
These pedals have been great so far. I am a large man (300+ lbs) they feel rock solid under my feet. No flex, no give... Even with their minimalist design
Looks cool, but thats where the fun stops

I bought these pedals because the "looked" very durable. Unfortunately, I was not able to install them before my return time was up. Once I installed them, they only lasted about 100 miles, if that, before they started clicking. After replacing my bottom bracket, thinking the sound was coming from a worn out bottom bracket because it was very old, and thinking how could the sound be coming from brand new pedals ?? So, I took my bike to the local bike shop and explained my problem. He put his "shop test pedals" on my bike and he took it for a ride. He then came back and told me to ride it. Imagine that, no more clicking... I was pissed to say the least. The bike shop owner then showed me how these "look" like the very durable pedals, but clearly are not. I highly recommend against these pedals. The very annoying clicking sound started before 100 miles and got worse every time I rode. Of coarse it was AFTER my return date, so now I have very unique paper weights...Lesson learned !!
Best money I ever spent. They are large and give great support. With the spikes, once you put your foot in place it STAYS there.

I bought a new bike and they came with garbage pedals. Too small for a hybrid, and my shoes slipped on them. I looked at these and thought, $25? Best money I ever spent. They are large and give great support. With the spikes, once you put your foot in place it STAYS there. There is no sliding your foot around with these, if you want to reposition your foot you pick it up and set it back down. The quality is awesome, and they come with shims if your shoe happens to brush the chainguard. Mine didn't, but it's nice to have them anyway.Great purchase!
Not sure

Seemed good at first but didn't last long before they become loose and started making noise.
Good, well built pedals at a fraction of the cost.

I purchased a used hybrid and i wanted to upgrade to these pedals as a replacement for the original plastic pedal. Which weren't entirely that bad. i just wanted something better. Out of all the upgrades this is the most expensive at almost $27 bucks but i still like them, eventhough, i did read some of the negative reviews. I find the pedals to be solid and and very well made for the price, they move freely in either direction. This package also brought a small clear baggy of replacement pins with a small tightening wrench. So i thought that was a good thing considering the description didn't state anything about the extra tool or extra pins. The colos are bright really bright. i thought the Gold color appeared more champagne in the pics but i was wrong. They definatly pop on my bike, not really what i was looking for. I thought about buying the solid black pedals but this tri-colored pedal really cought my attention because i wanted a little blue on my bike but, nothing to crazy, i didnt recieve a discount for my feedback. I did take off 1 star for the slight color i did take off 1 star because i haven'ttested then yet, i will update at a later time. At this time i am very pleased with the pedals and i would buy them again if i could.
So far, so good. Price is right!

So far, so good. I own a budget GT MTB, so I was not looking to spend a lot on pedals, but yet wanted to upgrade over the plastic ones that came on bike, I chose these based on many good reviews. If something happens to go wrong with them, I'll come back and review again with less positive feedback. I have one ride on the them so far, a trail ride at a local state park.Build quality and materials seem to be very good. They have good weight to them. The nipples grab your shoes really well. I could immediately notice how good they were gripping right away, within seconds.I would recommend others, at this point, they are worth buying.
