QC/sketchy packaging issues aside, the watch is pretty good.

3.0 out of 5.0 by Adam S. on March 19, 2016
This watch came with a suspect amount of plastic missing. No plastic on the bracelet, nothing covering the crystal or exhibition window. The dial itself is great, except slightly misaligned. I probably could've exchanged it but I had to go on a trip and wanted to take the watch. It also came with a tiny chip on the bottom of the case, but it didn't really bother me, probably because I used a gift card and was a bit reckless with my spending. I really like the dial design. That was what sold me on the watch. The bracelet is quite nice as well, but I think the watch works better on a nato strap. I give Victorinox points for the bracelet; the quality is very solid.Don't get me wrong, the watch itself is nice but the particular one I got was a little sketchy, at best.At full retail, the watch is not worth it, in my opinion. At under 500, it is a very good deal. Just examine the watch carefully before you accept it.
The size is perfect! Love this watch looks elegant

I originally purchased the infantry watch but the case was just a bit too small for my wrist. So I returned it and purchased this one. The size is perfect! Love this watch looks elegant.
Advertised “New” but...

3.0 out of 5.0 by Dan on April 4, 2018
Was delivered in original manufacturer’s box but it did not have the protective films you find on new watches. It did not have the warranty paper or owner’s booklet. I was able to download watch info from Victorinox website and registered my watch so I feel protected. Watch seems to be fine, no marks, no scratches, no dings and leather appeared to be new. Keeps good time - have not had to adjust in a month of use. Seller offered to refund but watch is working fine so I kept it. Just a bit irritated with Seller that it was advertised “new” and what I received looked like it had been ransacked.
All-around perfect entry-level Swiss time piece.

Ive had this watch for going on 2 yrs now. Perfect in every way. Size is just right for everyday use and I wear most days. ETA automatic movement that should last a lifetime if properly cared for. Finish on the case is very well done and feels expensive. Stainless steel band is heavy, but in a good, it's solid kind of way. The dial is simple but very well done.I bought a Barton brown leather strap with white sticking and goes well with it, but I like to alternate every few weeks or so.Was looking at an Oris Propilot date, but couldn't justify the extra 500 bucks. Still love the Oris, but for now, this watch makes me very happy.
Looks so much better in person

5.0 out of 5.0 by Harry Saxxx on February 1, 2017
Looks so much better in person. I wasn't sure if I'd like the red dial that's etched on the underside of the crystal, but it looks amazing. Like it's floating in the watch. The band is also great. Never used a deployment clasp on a band other than metal, but it works really well. The red stitching in the band really stands out with the second hand and red dial. If your on the fence, just go ahead and pull the trigger. You will not be disappointed. Excellent quality you've come to expect from Victorinox.
Masculine elegance at its finest

5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazon Shopper on August 10, 2018
Classic elegance with modern flair. To be honest, I can't quite put my finger on what makes this watch worth 10 times the cost of similar watches from other designers, but from the moment I laid eyes on it it was love at first sight. From the matte black finish to the angular box font of the numbers to the subtle deep red details to the industrial look of the nylon band, the fine details make this watch more than the sum of its parts. It isn't flashy, but it's apparent at a glance that this is a quality timepiece. Masculine elegance at its finest.
Beware of buying from Watchsavings. They "will not" respond to warranty inquiries!

Watch is nice... but --> beware of Watchsavings <--, They "will not" respond for warranty repairs! You will need to go directly to Amazon for a return label. It's too bad because I liked the watch, but it stopped working and needed repaired. Oh well, at least Amazon helped me out.
1 quirky flaw that was a deal breaker for me...

2.0 out of 5.0 by R2V on March 7, 2018
The matte black finish, black dial face, white-color sword-shape hands, a red-color second hand, easy-to-read white-color numerals, automatic Swiss movement, are all absolutely perfect. This could have been a real nice watch, except for one thing that was a deal breaker for me... the red-color military time numerals that are printed under the watch crystal. In the Amazon photo of the watch, you can see the military-time #14 appears on top and in front of the white-color minute hand that is pointing to the #2 to understand what I am referring to (the red-color military numbers are not printed on the watch face but instead they are printed on and under the crystal). The single annoying problem is that the military time number #18 (at 6 o'clock position) is directly over the date display, covering the date display, and making it difficult to see the date. Surprised, no one at Victorinox noticed this quirky flaw, but this just didn't sit well with me...
