This pre-treat worked really well on our carpet. Our carpet had years of stains (including deck stain, water from a ruptured ice maker, pet stains, and beer- too many parties a few years ago!). I bought this hoping we could get some of the stains at least lighter so we didn't have to replace our carpeting.First, let me say I've used bissel products before and had decent luck with them, but never used a pre-treat or anything heavy duty. So I wasn't sure what I was expecting. I pre-treated the worst areas with this, spraying liberally over the really dark stains, and less on the lighter stains. I then let it sit for 5-10 minutes. (The product recommends 3-5 minutes, but these stains were baaaaaaaaaad). I then went over it carefully and slowly using a carpet steamer and Krud Kutter. To say that this product worked well would be a total understatement. Not only did it lighten the stains, but, with the Krud Kutter, it actually removed the worst ones. I'm in complete shock. I was so impressed, I shared the before and after pictures with my mother, in-laws, and all of Facebook! I was slightly embarrassed by the before pictures, but was too darn proud of the after to not share!I've included the pictures. See for yourself. I've bought 2 more bottles and will be doing the rest of the carpeting in my house this week. We don't have to replace the carpet now. So I spent $6.00, instead of a few hundred or thousand on new flooring. THANK YOU, BISSELL!

I have an 8 year old truck and a toddler who has been potty trained for about 2 years now. Accidents happen and stained my seats. These stains were approx a couple years old. I shampooed with my little green machine and got nowhere really. No surprise as they're legit old stains. I sprayed this generously on my seats and waited 10 minutes before shampooing as normal and my seats look REALLY close to brand new. One very satisfied happy momma with a very clean truck again. The attached photo's before photo was after shampooing the first time and dried without the pretreatment spray. After photo was taken after my seat was cleaned with spray and shampooed and then fully dried.
This saved my floor!

I bought and had installed an Armstrong laminate floor. It is a white and black checked floor. Turns out the floor is a nightmare. The material the floor is made of is like cork. It absorbs dirt like a sponge. They installed this floor first in the kitchen and utility room, then when they installed hardwood on the back of the house, they installers walked all over this floor with boots. I cried when I saw what they did. I had used 409, Windex, bleach wipes, a magic eraser, Murphys Oil Soap, I tried every cleaner I owned to get the boot marks and dirt out of that floor. Anyway, I called and the manager came to my house with a bottle of this. He sprayed it on the white and it came right up with less effort than what I put into it. This is an amazing product and worked so GREAT on my floor. I use a steam mop and this stuff to get my floor clean. What a relief!!!
Better than popular brand in the red bottle that claims to be the best.

Whoa! The first time I used this was impressed! I'd always been using another brand, a very popular brand that come in a red bottle. I'd used it spills for years and thought they were supposed to be the best.. but when I tried to use it as a pre-treatment on spots before a deep cleaning, it seemed so foamy and I couldn't seem to suck it all out of the carpet with my machine. So I thought it wasn't meant to be used as a pretreatment, so I bought this to try instead. Well, before I got to that, one of my cats puked on the carpet and when I reached for carpet cleaner, I happened to grab this one instead of the other and whoa what a difference! It cleaned up the spot perfectly, left the carpet soft, couldn't even tell there was a cleaned spot, and it actually smelled kinda nice. Previously, I'd have to do a lot a scrubbing, be left with a crunchy spot that stood out as a very noticeable spot from the rest of the carpet, smelled funny, and needed to be vacuumed to blend the carpet back in. I didn't know there was another way! I'll never buy that other brand again.I then used this as a pretreatment on spots before I cleaned the carpets and it ended up much cleaner than ever before. And if you're wondering about the spots on my carpet, I have two cats and two toddlers and most of my house is carpet (even the dining room, who does that!?), so spill and messes happen.

I was really excited to use this on the high traffic areas of my carpet along with my deep cleaner. Unfortunately it didn't make any difference. I used it according to the directions in the first room, but after it didn't work I let it sit longer in the second one but it still didn't make a difference.
I love the smell of Bissell in the morning!

I love my cat, she is pretty lazy and really doesn't do a whole hell of a lot. So when it's time for her to puke on my carpet I use this Bissell stain remover to get out the cat puke from the carpet. Now this doesn't happen all the time she isn't sick, but when she does decide to bomb my carpet I use this to remove the all signs of barf. Also it doesn't smell to bad, so that helps. But it if you have a cat that likes to bomb your floors.
Always pre treat bad areas, this may help you!

I think is always helps to spot clean prior to cleaning any rug. We do not have any pets but we live in a ranch and wear street shoes in the house. Our rug is Olefin and has a Berber weave. We have pre-treated our rugs before shampooing. Don't see much of a difference using this product. I believe it has a lot to do with the rug being Olefin and Berber.

Not worth the money if you ask me. I tried this on a few stains on my carpet before shampooing, it may have lightened them a little but they are still noticeable. I also tried it on different spots on my carpet without stains and after I cleaned the carpet I couldn't tell the difference between the areas I sprayed and the areas I didn't.
